Things I'm Reading

“We read to know that we are not alone.”
― C.S. Lewis

I stayed up until after 3 AM reading this book and woke early to finish it the follow morning. This book left me wrecked, completely distraught and crying into my morning coffee, but it was so good. Brashares has given each of these girls, now women, difficult journeys to go on. The hardest part of losing yourself is finding it again, which is what happens to Carmen, Lena, and Bee. Even at thirty, which I’m slowly nearing, life is never what you expected to be and you find yourself searching for something and you can’t quite figure out what. Each of these girls found it and ended up exactly where they were supposed to be with the people they were always supposed to be with (cheers to Kostos and Lena and Bee and Eric - my absolute favorites). Pure perfection in every way. My day is a little brighter because of this book.

Now where can I find a Kostos or Eric?

Always remember: Pants = love. Love your pals. Love yourself.
